The ETM8L series Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs) are designed to safeguard people and equipment by detecting leakage currents caused by faults such as direct or indirect contact with live parts, insulation failure, or earth leakage. These devices work by monitoring the current balance between live and neutral conductors—any difference indicates a fault, prompting immediate disconnection.
Ideal for low-voltage distribution systems, ETM8L RCCBs are widely used in industrial plants, commercial spaces, residential buildings, energy infrastructure, and communication systems. They provide comprehensive protection, including leakage detection, circuit isolation, and short-circuit protection. Unlike older ELCB devices, RCCBs detect all forms of earth faults, making them the preferred solution in modern installations. These devices are also known as RCDs (Residual Current Devices) or RCBs (Residual Current Breakers).
