Product Introduction
1. Current-Limiting Protection
STM6 circuit breakers offer strong current-limiting capability, meaning they reduce the peak value and energy (I²t) of short-circuit currents well below the expected fault level.
This is achieved through a U-shaped static contact design, which enables pre-breaking technology. When a short-circuit occurs, the electromagnetic repulsion between the moving and static contacts forces them apart before the trip mechanism activates, extending the arc and increasing resistance—effectively reducing current rise and improving protection response.
2. Modular Accessory Design
All STM6 breakers with the same frame size share standard dimensions, regardless of rated current or breaking capacity.
Accessories are fully modular, allowing users to add or remove functions as needed
Insulated accessory design supports safe live-line installation and maintenance
3. Compact Frame Sizes
The STM6 is available in five miniaturised frame sizes:
125A / 160A / 250A / 630A / 800A
Rated current range: 10A to 800A
These compact units save panel space while offering high performance.
4. Patented Contact Repulsion Technology
The circuit breaker includes a patented contact separation mechanism.
Using a system of shafts, springs, and optimized contact geometry, the moving contact automatically reacts to high fault currents, causing rapid separation.
This ensures faster interruption and significantly enhances the breaker’s fault-handling capacity.
5. Smart Communication Integration
STM6 can be easily integrated into Modbus communication networks using a dedicated interface.
When paired with monitoring accessories, it enables:
Remote control
Real-time data display
Status reading and parameter setting
6. Modular Arc Extinguishing System
The arc chamber uses a modular extinguishing structure, improving arc quenching efficiency and simplifying maintenance or part replacement.
7. Unified Design
All breakers in the STM6 series maintain consistent appearance, dimensions, and installation layout across different frame sizes. This unified structure simplifies panel layout, standardises wiring, and improves interchangeability.
